I love sports! All my thanksgiving dinners were spent in front of the television with my family watching the football game. Our seasons were not Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall but instead it was Basketball, Soccer, Football etc… So it was only natural that in school, I involved myself in all the athletics I possibly could, but my one true love is definitely America’s greatest past time, Baseball. My school’s team struggled a lot; we had a lot of heartaches and disappointments despite hours of grueling training. Finally, after all that, we got it together. All the training, working out, and discipline finally paid off and we made it all the way to the championships. I was pumped! For the first time in years our school had the chance to be a winning team. Plus we were going to Los Angeles as well. Trips as a team were always great.
So it was two days before the game and we were off to California, we were in the airport waiting for our flight and then, after hours of waiting, there was that dreaded word beside our flight number: Canceled. Our coach went ballistic! He tried talking to every airline he possibly could but there was simply nothing available for the whole team. So, the parents, the school and a lot of people in our town came together and got us an air charter service flight. It was on! We had a great time on our jet charter flight. The food was awesome and we were so relaxed. We got there and we kicked major butt! Not only did we get there on time but we flew home with a trophy and that jet charter made our victory so much sweeter.
